The audiobook of “Little Miss Lovesick” by Kitty Bucholtz (and narrated by me!) was just released on 12/15/14 on Audible.
New website design – with the VoiceZam player on the front page.
I’m still uploading my demos into the player, but already I’m loving the flexibility of listening to different tracks so easily and quickly.
Let me know what you think.
To celebrate the final day of “June is Audio Book Month”, I’m giving away some codes for a FREE download of “Unexpected Superhero” written by Kitty Bucholtz and narrated by me! It’s an Urban-Fantasy-meets-Romance-meets-Comic-Adventure title. Let me know if you want a free download! [Heads up: There is swearing, praying and sex.] http://www.audible.com/pd/Sci-Fi-Fantasy/Unexpected-Superhero-Audiobook/B00K23ZPQO
As promised – here’s another new audiobook sample – recorded in my home office studio. (Huge thanks to George Whittam for the advice and effects stacks to make me sound great at home!)
From “Leadership the Eleanor Roosevelt Way: Timeless Strategies from the First Lady of Courage” by Robin Gerber
Here’s a good question – should I set up a separate Audiobook page instead? Things to think about.
I just registered (and booked my flight to NYC) for the APAC 2013 (Audiobook Publishers Association Conference) on May 29th. Are any of my other vo peeps going?
I’m currently preparing a narrator demo submission for a large audiobook publishing house and they require longer demos than I already had. So, I’ve taken a couple 3-5 minute samples from the books I’ve read for Audible:
Finding a fun fiction dialogue section with 4 characters in FLYING CHANGES:
and a non-fiction dialogue section with the hint of a dialect in REMEMBERING THE MUSIC FORGETTING THE WORDS:
and I also recorded a new longer chick-lit sample from the opening pages of my friend Kitty’s book LITTLE MISS LOVESICK:
Today I’ll be recording a fantasy fiction piece with british dialects and a historical non-fiction selection in my home studio. If only the cats would quit bugging me so I can start. (I’ll post them here after editing.)
