As a kid, reading was my super-power.
I could explore other worlds, learn about history, and even help solve mysteries with Nancy Drew. (I still have my hardback copy of “The Secret of the Old Clock” on my shelf today.)
Books were a portal, and for this introverted girl who didn’t feel “part of the team”, reading became my sport and I excelled. (Does anyone else remember the Scholastic Book Awards? I collected so many weepuls and cute cat posters!)
Looking back to the start of my acting career (thank you, Mom, for making this shy 7th grader take drama) my very first role in middle school was as the Narrator!
Years later, I still love reading. I hope that passion comes through in every book I narrate.
